Well it rained here all day. And to my relief, everyone else went out. So what better way to spend the day...
The linux box at home is now hosting a DOD:S server. It is publishing in the servers list ([OSOK] Salty's Home Server) or you can IP it to 58.108.234.4:57015.
Coach reports that its sitting at 66 ping. Not bad for a home connection. Lots of server.cfg issues but it plays well and seems fine. Alltalk is on and so is FF.
Its hosted on my OpenSuSE 11 server here at home and the kids are welcome to have a run around on it. It performs quite well considering this machines specs.
PIV @ 3.4 GHz, 4GB DDR 400, WD800YS host OS HDD, Intel 945PERL MOBO.
MANI will not work on the new platform but I'll add all to the RCON when I get a chance.
Given the oppotunity I'll throw a few mods on every now and then
